Project title: Temporally resolved diagnostics of laser produced plasma for electron acceleration foreseen to be used at ELI-NP/ TEDILAPLAS
Periode: Oct. 2016 – Sept. 2019
Contact Person:
Project Director: Dr. C. DIPLAȘU
Coordinator:
National Institute for Laser, Plasma and Radiation Physics - I.N.F.L.P.R.
Atomiștilor 409, Măgurele, Romania
Objectives:
• Spatial and temporal characterization of plasma resulted from high power laser interaction with matter, in order to predict optimal conditions for particle acceleration;
• Development of various complementary techniques for the plasma diagnostics, at each Laser shot, best suited for the conditions of ELI-NP experiments;
• Modality of implementation, of this plasma diagnostic techniques at particle acceleration experiments at ELI-NP infrastructure, particularly at E6 experimental area.

Phases and activities:
Three complementary methods for temporal based diagnosis of the acceleration plasma, which will be tested at CETAL facility in Magurele:
• Transversal interferometry
• Wavefront analysis
• Single shot analysis of the transmitted probe pulse with temporal chirp
